+ EXHIBITIONS

Born in the U.K., Alan Falk was passionate about creating art from a young age. At 16, he was admitted to the Manchester College of Art, where he studied painting under the guidance of Norman Adams, who became his mentor. Adams later became the Keeper at the renowned Royal Academy Schools. Alan was awarded the Granada Fellowship in Fine Arts at the Institute of Advanced Studies at Manchester Polytechnic two years after graduating. He taught at several art colleges in England and was represented by the prestigious Piccadilly and New Art Center galleries in London. During this time, he participated in many UK and European group exhibitions, including the first British Drawing Biennale, the Kunsterner Hus National Museum, Oslo, Norway, and the Royal College of Art, London. Alan marked his arrival in the US with representation at the Edna P. Gurewitsch Gallery in NYC, featuring a two-person show with renowned French artist Sonia Delaunay, shortly followed by another show with acclaimed American artist Will Barnet. Alan has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions, including the National Academy of Arts & Letters, Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, and Marlborough Fine Art, New York. Alan was also represented by The Jack Gallery, A.M. Sachs and Katarina Rich Perlow in New York. Commissions include a mural for the City of Buffalo, NY, and banners depicting the arts at the Manhattan Ferry Terminal. Since the early 1990s, Alan has worked as an independent artist while exhibiting extensively in the US and abroad. His work is in numerous private, corporate, and museum collections. He is a Fellow at the New York-based Jewish Art Salon and lives in Connecticut.
